Adherence to Standards
- Ontario Regulation 406/19 made under the Environmental Protection Act for On-Site and Excess Soil Management.
- Excess Soil Quality Standards outlined in the “Rules for Soil Management and Excess Soil Quality Standards.”
- Best management practices as recommended by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP).
Record-Keeping
We maintain detailed records for all aspects of our projects. Our documentation process includes:
- Source information, quality test results, and transportation details for all imported materials.
- Daily tracking and reporting of soil movements, including volume and placement location.
- Retention of all records for at least two years, as required by regulatory standards.
Environmental Assessments
We conduct thorough environmental assessments to understand the site conditions and identify any potential contaminants. This includes:
- Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments.
- Laboratory analysis of soil samples for contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons (PHCs), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and metals.
Soil Tracking System
We use advanced software tools, such as SoilFLo, to track soil movements. This system ensures:
- Accurate documentation of soil loading, transportation, and placement.
- Real-time tracking of soil quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Secure storage and easy retrieval of all project-related documentation.
