Class 1 Soil Management Site
These sites are used for the permanent storage or processing of soil. We ensure that these sites comply with all regulatory requirements.
Class 2 Soil Management Site
These sites are used for the temporary management of excess soil on properties owned or controlled by public bodies or project leaders. Our operations at these sites are also fully compliant with regulatory standards.
How We Provide Stockpiling Services
1. Site Selection
- We utilize Class 1 and Class 2 soil management sites for stockpiling.
- Class 1 Sites: Used for soil bank storage or soil processing.
- Class 2 Sites: Temporary waste disposal sites managed by public bodies or project leaders.
2. Quality Control
- Soil and gravel undergo rigorous testing before being stockpiled to ensure they meet all regulatory standards.
- We use the Beneficial Reuse Assessment Tool to verify soil quality.
3. Regulatory Compliance
- Our operations strictly adhere to the “Rules for Soil Management and Excess Soil Quality Standards.”
- We comply with Ontario Regulation 406/19 and other relevant standards.
Transportation to Stockpiling Sites
- Specialized trucks transport soil and gravel to the designated stockpiling sites.
- Transportation methods are designed to prevent spillage and contamination.
Proper Storage Practices
- Materials are stored in a manner that prevents contamination and environmental impact.
- Best practices are followed to ensure the stability and safety of stockpiles.
Documentation & Tracking
- We will use SoilFLo Software to track all excess soil. The software will provide the location, date & time, responsible personnel, corporation and volume of the loading and receiving site.
- All the detailed records of all stored materials, including source information and quality test results, are maintained.
- A comprehensive tracking system ensures all materials are managed in compliance with regulations.
